The overview of Dr.Alim’s musical instruments
This is overview of musical instruments that I will try to play in future videos. As you can understand that I am not a professionally trained musician rather I am a professional (Pediatrician) training to be a amateur musician !!!!!!!!
I am proudly displaying few of the musical instruments I am learning to play ie Indian Tabla, Casio Music Keyboard WK 3700, Acoustic Guitar, Casio LD 80 Digital Drum, Casio entry level Keyboard MT 540, I also own Yamaha Recorder or Flute.
Music is food for the soul. Indian classical music does just that to you. Every pull of the string and every swara will strike a chord in your heart.
About the major difference between western and Indian Musical system was summarized very beautifully by Late Dr. Rabindranath Tagore who was acquainted with both the western and Indian Music systems put it thus::-
“The world by day is like Europeans music-a flowing concourse of vast harmony, composed of concord and discord and many disconnected fragments. And the night world is our INDIAN music : one pure deep and tender raga !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching.

Avenged Sevenfold – Seize the Day Piano/Keyboard Cover
Daft Punk w/ Logic 8, MIDI & EA-1
A ‘cover’ of Harder Better Faster Stronger/Around The World as heard on the Alive 2007 album.
Runs from a small loop made in Logic 8 with an Around The World sample looped, and all the Harder Better Faster Stronger samples loaded into the EXS24 sampler. Samples are triggered from the microKorg which is being used as a MIDI keyboard. The ATW resonant synth line is also sequenced in Logic 8. The EA-1 is running a four bar pattern on repeat with the extra synth line on part one, and the ATW bass line on part two.
All Logic 8 sounds are assigned to different channels out of an M-Audio Fast Track Pro interface and spread over separate channels on a Behringer Xenyx mixer. Each part can be added or removed separately from the faders on the mixer.

The keyboard for Indian Classical Music
The musical keyboard in use world over is not fit for Indian classical music. Because its notes are tuned to the so-called Equally-Tempered scale where all the twelve notes are of equal value equal to the twelfth root of two.
If the keyboard is built with fourteen keys to the octave and tuned to the just intonation scale it will be ideal for Indian classical music.
If separate keyboards are built to patches C,D1,D2,E1,E2 it will make way for a wonderful new word of divine music. Having arrived, in course of a raaga, at a specific note, a new musical edifice can be constructed and at last returning to the starting note.
