Roland Juno Stage Synth Demo – Nevada Music UK

http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/Keyboards_Pianos/Synths/sc1643/p7150.aspx The Stage is a synthesizer keyboard that has primarily been designed to benefit live performances by combining great live features with some of Roland’s latest innovative technologies. Firstly the keyboard has 76 notes – 61 deemed to be not quite enough whilst 88 notes would arguably make the keyboard too heavy for easy transportation.

There’s also a host of fabulous sounds that includes a fantastic 88 not sampled Concert Grand piano, some cool sounding electric pianos and razor sharp sampled horns – but these are just a few of the 1283 sound patches and 41 drum kits within the Stage. It’s also possible to expand the range by adding Roland’s range of SRX expansion cards …

As far as the manipulation of sound goes in a live environment Roland have included a “Favourites” list where you can store all of your most commonly used patches – plus you can also recall your patches via an optional dual footswitch that connects to a dedicated Patch Select jack, so you never have to take your hands off the keyboard…

There are Master Control knobs on the dashboard of the keyboard for EQ and Reverb so that these can be adjusted quickly and efficiently, a USB port and Song Player function enables direct playback and control of backing tracks from a USB key. The can play MP3, WAV, AIFF, and SMF files, and even use the Center Cancel feature to reduce pre-recorded vocals for karaoke-style performances (Ugh …!!!).

The button marked MIDI Controller transforms the into a MIDI master keyboard, this facility allows program and control changes to be sent with a single touch of a button. The also features an XLR mic input with phantom power that’s ideal for a vocal sing-along performance or to accompany the built-in vocoder. The ’s Click Output can easily send an audible click track to any of your fellow musicians onstage, and it also sports an external input for a portable audio player.i
