How Point of Sale Software Can Increase Your Profit

Point of sale software means the software that is used for payments or checkouts – the equivalent of an electronic cash register. Point of sale software systems are used in supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, stadiums, and casinos, or almost every type if retail industry. This system interface needs to be as obvious as possible. It requires entering many commands at the keyboard, remove the system from consideration – every keyboard command needed is another error waiting to happen. Point and click, barcode scanning, window-based invoicing are must-haves.

Point of sale software which are available in the market today, offer complete inventory control and management tools. Users should make use of these tools and restocking, taking physical inventory and managing your stock flow becomes simpler. The powerful systems will allow you to maintain inventory across multiple stores in a wide array.

For a single retail store, you are required to be able to enter and track inventory by Stocking Keeping Unit, by vendor, by description, by manufacture, by category, and by sales history. POS software does also keep track of inventory items down to the level of the individual sale. It means that you can find out sales history any time with time and invoice number. One of the important features of your POS software is that is can balance the cash drawer. At the day end, the ‘Z’ reading from the register will give you the detail of how much money exchanged hands during the sale and how it was tendered, whether it was happened through cash, check or credit cards.

Your point of sale software will come with management functions that cannot be accessed from the cash register log-in. These functions include inventory tracking, hourly sales monitoring, invoice and inventory adjustments and other features that you would not essentially want the person manning for the exporting of inventory activity information to standard spreadsheet formats for easy incorporation into other programs. There are plenty of point of sale software available on the web at cost effective prices.

For to the requirement of the retail industry, ETP international has developed point of sale software with entire functionality that is required by retail industry. They offer point of sale software as a platform for the retail industry.

    An Anti-Piracy System?
i’m developing an Anti-Piracy System that removes digital pirated content such as movies, games, software, books and magazines, etc from the internet.

i would like different companies ( such as: Microsoft, adobe, apple, universal etc.) to use my service in order to remove most of their products on the internet.

companies that would like their products removed from the internet will have to pay a monthly subscription depending on their product which is a fraction of the amount they loose.

This makes it a lot harder for people to download their products illegally, therefore, will be forced to purchase. (This eventually increases sales and of course, PROFIT)

how can i contact companies to see if they are interested so that u would further develop this system?

And i would like to know your opinion of:

    - is this project going to be successful?
    - will companies like adobe and Microsoft use my service?
    - would you use this service if you had a product which was being pirated (downloaded illegally) on the internet?
and any other suggestions/comments you can add!

    thank you

(the best answer gets 10 points)

    1. What you’re suggesting would have to be a virus.

    2. How do you determine what’s pirated and what’s not? You make something that tries to delete all MP3s, or all .iso files on a computer, and you’re in for lawsuits when your program deletes something it shouldn’t.

The best way to fight piracy is making it harder to copy something so it can be shared, and going after people who share the files. Trying to get an autonomous program that deletes the files remotely is far more trouble than it’s worth.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

That’d have to be a virus, which is illegal. You’d be in deep dog crap if you did that, and nobody would touch your so called program.

Best way? Find a way to prevent stuff from being pirated in the first place.

Those big companies have TEAMS of people working to get rid of things like that from the net. If you have something that can really do it it’s definitely marketable. I seriously doubt you have a product that good though. If you told me how your product works I bet I could easily come up with a dozen ways around it. If such things were so easy the rest of us would never see a single piece of spam.

Sorry, but your claims are so far out there that most companies would blow it off as completely impossible and you being a crackpot.

P.S. you need to have a working copy of the software to be able to patent it. If it really works make it start happening to prove it works. Then when it catches people’s attention you’ll get business. I don’t see that happening though

    - it wouldnt be successful as it is illegal
    - no because it is illegal
    - no because it is illegal

the only way to do that would be a computer virus, which is illegal unless you are just running it on your computers but as soon as it leaves the things that you own its illegal, 2nd you apparently dont know this, but all the downloadable content on the internet is on computers, people are hosting this off of their computers, only way to remove it would to be to get onto their computers which you would have to do illegally

Your idea is a non-starter. Big profit seeking companies would use it creating initial gain for you, then people would download non-infringing free stuff instead. Because so few people would get stuff from the big companies, their word-of-mouth advertising will fall, they’ll cut expenses such as your product, and people will go back to copying with impunity.
