This stunning music was also used as one of the soundtrack themes for the 1982 film by Peter Weir – The Year of Living Dangerously – whilst the remainder of the soundtrack was written by Maurice Jarre (father of electronic musician Jean-Michel Jarre)

Thanks for your response! Great to hear from you. I think you raised a fine point; a catchy melody may appear “simple” on the surface but this song is very intricate and detailed with it’s multi-layed emotions.

Wonderful. A simply heartfelt & artful presentation of a glorious Vangelis song. L’Enfant is perhaps (in my view) one of the most gifted pieces of music EVER written (irregardless of genre). I know that’s bold to say, but it “answers” so much in its sound (catchy melody, passion & desire of zest for life, romantic tone, harsh edge of conflict in battle…it evokes alot of moods). Your keyboard chops brought out an ‘ethereal’ side to it, as if it was sung by the Celtic Women. Thx for sharing. A+!
