How do you remedy a defective key of an electronic keyboard ( piano )?

Some of the keys of our electronic keyboard/piano doesn’t sound all the time, there are times that they would sound and the next time you hit it, it wouldn’t. I remember an old friend telling me that his father pours disinfecting alcohol ( the one’s we use in cleaning ) into the defective keys of their electronic keyboard. I have a doubt about that. Is that just ok or would that damage the key permanently?

I think the only problem with the keys is that it’s dirty inside but I have no means of cleaning it unless I open the entire instrument..

Please answer if you know something I could try… tnx…

Yes,you have to open the keyboard. For cleaning use alcohol and then clean with a dry material().
