Keyboard fanatics

I have a keyboard that requires a 9v 850 Ma power supply. I do not have one except for a 16v 1000 Ma power supply from another electronic device. Will this work? I thought you can’t go lower, but you can go higher in power? Please help.

The 16 V power supply will damage your keyboard. The voltage must be the same. The mA can be the same or more but the voltage must be the same.
