    I just noticed …
I just noticed theres a checkbox under MIDI settings that says something like “record into step sequencer”, you wanna have this unchecked because it’ll just record 1 single note at a time and push everything into one single measure. I dont know why anyone would need that but that’s what it does so you wanna make sure “record into step sequencer” is disabled.

So the notes you play on MIDI wont come in the piano roll.. but you have to record it first..?

    sorry i am stupid beginner!

  • ste1438:

    Chords should …
Chords should record with no problem, but there are a few reasons why that may happen.

    1. Record to step sequencer is turned on in the midi settings.

    2. mono is checked on the misc. tab in the channel settings.

    3. Your midi keyboard might not have poly turned on. make sure mono is turned off or max poly is set higher then 1,

    Very imformative …
Very imformative video actually many thanks. Still I have a big problem. I have everything set up the way you showed here you know the low buffer, midi I/O and all that and FL Studio does pick up my keyboard keys so that works fine. The only thing is whenever i want to record playing notes from a sheet on my keyboard it wont pick up and write all notes into the piano roll. It will only write one note at a time in the piano roll so for instance if i want to play an accord C E G it wont work.

    Meh, I don’t notice …
Meh, I don’t notice a delay at all anyway, so it doesn’t matter i guess. Maybe it’s lower, it’s just that the asio drivers are being weird. But like i said, no noticable delay, so i’m fine i guess :)
