@andlinux does it …
@andlinux does it work in linux? the usb adapter? how much was it?
I’ve got the same …
I’ve got the same keyboard here but mine is from MCcrypt, I bought that just to use it with a computer (to use the midi out) . I also bought a usb to midi adapter and it works like a charm in Reason, it also works in FL studio. The main advantage is that all those music programs see the USB adapter.
@thermalz0mbie yeah …

please transfer those 7 years of lessons into video tutorials
i promise you will get lots of fame for it because youtube seems lacking in easy to understand music keyboard tutorials
@OSGUIShow yeah, …
@OSGUIShow yeah, that old keyboard was pretty fancy back in the day, so i’d likely use it. the old sound card isn’t a bad idea actualy, but i’d just perfer USB because wouldn’t mind using it on my mac as well as other computers without having to worry about sound card compatability. and Ubuntu Studio has AMAZING sythesizer and MIDI software. you’ll have lots of fun with that! and i took piano lessons for 7 years, i could actually make a few videos on that once i have all the components.
@lmull3 cool mate …
@lmull3 cool mate yeah use the old keyboard, its probably heaps better than this cheap piece of i bought… lol
you could install a old sound card that has a midi plug, thats what iv done to an old pc im setting up with ubuntu studio, im hoping the old style midi to joystick/midi plug will be cheaper
you could also make tutorials on how to play the keyboard if u know how, id love to watch them
@OSGUIShow …
. it has midi ports in the back and is the full 88 keys and all that. all i need is two 5 pin DIN (MIDI) cables and a way to plug it in via USB, and i could show you some stuff. if i decide to buy a USB interface i’ll make some videos for ya.
@OSGUIShow unfortunately when i got to do a lot of this with garageband it was in a class back in high school here, so i never actually owned anything. but, that being said, i do have a very old keyboard, probably 1994 or so

Can you use this as a MIDI-controller? I’ve been meaning to buy one, but I don’t need a complicated one (just to use cutoff/reso live etc..)
