Keyboard fanatics

This is an electronic version of my original song “Robber Barons.” I wanted to play around with the sound a little bit, so I added a percussion, bass, and synth track using my Yamaha PSR-180 electronic keyboard, and blended in a light acoustic rhythm guitar track using my Taylor 114ce acoustic-electric guitar. I also increased the tempo a few steps to give it an alternative, almost punk vibe to it (which is appropriate, since it is sort of an “angry” song). I hope you enjoy it. First Verse:

When we were young
We had so much fun
Playing the stock market all the time
We never lost a single dime

They said we couldnt lose
We’d retire early if we choose
Now the market’s tanking and there’s nothing we can do

Second Verse:

Was a time that just came and went
Where I was happy just paying rent
They said don’t be happy just getting by
Buy a house and get a piece of the pie

Don’t worry if you can’t afford it
Just sign here for this high interest mortgage
Now I’m underwater and my house is in foreclosure

Third Verse:

Here’s a tale I wish I didn’t have to tell
The Robber Barons just screwed us all to hell
Fat and happy in their Hampton Estates
Wrecking the economy and blaming fate

Now we’ve lost our 401ks
And we’ll have to work until our dying days
While the Robber Barons are cashing their bailout checks
