Wasp Synthesizer Demo
This is a demonstration of the Wasp Synthesizer I sold on eBay. The auction ran from Sep. 24 to Oct. 4, 2008.
I originally had a link to the auction item here, but it is too old now and the item has been removed.
My Wasp sold for a disappointing $687 dollars. Congratulations to the lucky winner of the auction. The timing of my auction coincided with the tanking of the US economy and I’m afraid that scared off a lot of potential bidders. I’ve seen other Wasp synths sell on eBay for over $1200 even in a non-operating condition.

I used to see this piled up etc at this secondhand music instrument store that I used to go in NottingHillgate like 25 years ago.(was usually seen with little spider sequencers).I should have bought one and owned it to experience the sound that it makes.Great demo of a great british synth.

Oh man, sounds so cool though. I can’t believe it only sold for $687. I would love to get Doepfer’s wasp filter. I would love to get anything by doepfer, but I don’t have any doepfer gear. I want to build my own A100 system soon though.

I’ve seen theses …
I’ve seen theses for sale, at ridiculous prices here in the Uk. £ 500+. They were manufactured by, EDP or, Electronic Dream plant. The Later version. Looked more like a contemporary synth at the time, with, real keys, and wood side panels. They also produced, the Gnat, a budget version, and a sequencer. You could bye theses, apparently, in supermarkets, and Mail order catalogues. LOL .
